For the production of medals, there are very many factors that will affect the cost of medals, such as molds, materials, processes, accessories, packaging, factories, etc. Next, I will list in detail, the factors that may have an impact on the cost of production of medals.
Mold
Medals are divided into customized medals and public mold medals according to whether they are customized or not.
If your medals do not need to be customized, then you can use public molds, which will save you a lot of money on molding fees. Generally larger factories will have their own public molds, of course, we also have a variety of molds for you to choose from.
If your medals need to be customized, then you need to pay a mold fee, if your customized quantity reaches a certain requirement, the mold fee will be refunded, for example, our requirement is to make up to 10,000pcs, then we will refund the mold fee.
Materials

Crafts
For a detailed description of the process, check out my other article. In production, if you use more processes, it is obvious that the cost of your medals will be high, so please choose the most suitable process, not the most.
Accessories
Accessories are detailed in my article on the two most common types of webbing used for medals, as well as other medallion accessories. Woven ribbons are the cheapest of all ribbons with the same specifications. If your budget allows it, you can choose heat transfer ribbons, which allow you to have a gradient of colors on your ribbons, or use heat transfer ribbons for logos with complex colors.
Packaging
If you make medals, there are usually free OPP bags provided, of course, free OPP bags can not make your medals look unique. If you want a special package, then you need to set aside part of the cost in your budget.
Factory
When it comes to factories, there are many customized medals factories all over the world, but China’s factories are the most numerous, and a large number of customers will choose to have their medals made in China. Why? Because China has a complete metal-making industry chain and cheap labor. If you make the medals in the United States, you may spend 10/pcs, but in China, it may be less than 5/pcs, and the extra 5 pcs you spend is enough to pay the shipping cost. So a large number of customers will choose to have their medals made in China.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs should also be included in the overall cost of your medal production. Generally, we offer relatively fast courier channels, but if you have a lot of time on your hands, you can also choose to ship by sea or road. If you wish to use your own shipping account, you can provide it to us and we will arrange for shipment or you can arrange for factory pickup.
